After a career in Nursing and having completed an Open University degree, Sarah was a late entrant to teaching. She qualified as a Primary Teacher and taught in schools in England and Scotland for 15 years before completing her Diploma and working for the charity, Dyslexia Action. There, she taught dyslexic people from aged 6-80 both in the classroom and in the community, ran a programme of CPD for schools and businesses and advised companies about the legal and practical aspects of coping with dyslexia in the workplace. Sarah now works for the company Clear Links, supporting university students with Additional Needs and she is a Lecturer in Academic Writing at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. Sarah’s hobbies include sailing, photography, reading, embroidery, Scottish Country Dancing and making music- predominantly by singing and trying to play her full-sized concert harp!
