Schools in their Communities - Taking Action and Developing Civic Life

Emerging from the COVID crisis will take time to truly digest. Over the coming years, we will be reacting to the situations we now find ourselves in: a world in debt like never before, with levels of fear like we’ve never experienced, a world where most countries’ resilience has been put to the test. How can schools play a part in addressing the many inequalities which many of us have been worrying about for long and which pandemic exacerbated in ways which have left so many hopeless? As many schools wrestle with what it means to exist in world scarred by COVID, civic leadership seems to offer a glimmer of hope. We’ll explore what this means for us at local, regional, and national levels.
